Most Middle School students have siblings; across grades and even schools, almost every one of us has a brother or sister. But the amount of pairs just within the Middle School is astounding. Walking through Clarkson, you can’t help but notice the countless mirror-image faces of sibling duos. Our gallery compiles photos of some of the 37 pairs in 6th and 8th grade.
Most of the younger siblings express appreciation for having an older brother or sister in the building. They believe that the experience and knowledge gained from knowing someone who had gone through the Westminster Middle School has given them an advantage coming into the sixth grade.
“It’s good because I know everything, like the building and teachers,” says 6th grader Madeline Allenbach. Her eighth-grade sister, Lily Allenbach, wishes she had benefited from having an older sibling to help her adjust to the Middle School as a sixth grader.
On the other hand, Madeline Allenbach also admits that she’s embarrassed when her sister comes into her classes to say “hi.” For the most part, though, the path beaten by an older sibling is helpful to the next family members coming to Clarkson.
