Shannon McDonough joins Westminster as a Spanish 1 and 2 teacher for 7th and 8th grade and as an Assistant Middle School Girls Basketball Coach. Previously, she taught at a K-8 school as an English teacher for Spanish speakers, at a high school as a Spanish teacher, and at UGA as a Spanish teacher. McDonough explains that even as an adult when transitioning to a new school you can feel like a kid. “I really love it a lot. I was telling someone that this has definitely been the easiest transition to a school that I have ever had, in large part because the people in my department are so nice and eager to help. Even when you are an adult and start a new school, it kind of feels like when you are a kid—you have a thousand questions and don’t know where to sit at lunch and stuff like that,” McDonough says. “So everyone in the department has been so nice and so helpful and so welcoming that it’s been a really nice transition. It’s been really easy.”
